It’s working
I had a Weil Osteotomy with a plantar plate repair near the end of March. At my first PT appointment my toe was floating. To be totally transparent I couldn’t voluntarily move my 2nd or 3rd toes. The PT protocol that was involved gave three options. Athletic tape which was so painful I didn’t make it out of the parking lot before removing it, the other was a white bracing and Bioskin. The bioskin system I bought has the forefoot strap and the Weil osteotomy toe strap. I found it pretty to apply, it provided great for compression for surgical site, and the toe strap easy to adjust for comfort. A little less in the beginning and then pretty full stretch. I’m seven weeks after surgery. My toe is still weak but is no longer floating! Customer service had been excellent. I am going to be dealing with swelling for quite a while as my osteotomy continues to heal. At week 7 post op I cannot fit my foot, my Bioskin/toe strap and a sock in one of my normal shoes. I ordered my favorite Books running shoes, 1/2 size up and in a wide width. I’m hoping that combination works as I return to my RN duties.

Helped a lot and Then the velcro came off
I used this for several weeks. My toe looked better and felt better. However, the velcro on the toe strap broke, so it no longer attaches.

Highly recommend!
I wish I had this right after getting the pins removed from my toes. I would have had much better luck getting my toes to stay in the down position.

Post tendon repair
My 2nd toe still slightly lifts after 2 surgeries. Sleeping in this has been amazing. Highly recommend it.

Works great while sleeping
I have a fixed hammertoe, and will have surgery in a few months. The doc said I may have a floating toe afterward, so I am using this strap now to stretch the muscle on top of the toe, and will use it afterward, also. I can wear it all night after gradually building up to it.

It is helping tremendously! However, I am going to have to buy some felt and velcro as I am down to 1 toe strap. The first wore out from the velcro and it will no longer stick to it! That was after 1 week.
